I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream

I suppose you could call it an addiction  When fall comes around I start looking for the ice cream. I used to be able to get it in California without a problem but when I moved to all of the other places I have lived it was usually impossible although I would go to every store in the area. Which really seemed strange since it was a seasonal flavor that is popular in a number of foods and used in a traditional pie. After not being able to find it I resorted to making my own recipe using this recipe I had. Problem solved! I still tried just about every year to get a source. Here in Kansas I found a source at Braums but the closest was a 45 minute drive. I still drove every year but still looked at every store for a closer source. It was a great year this year since Pumpkin Ice Cream has seemed to become popular. I even found a caramel pumpkin that was a little too sweet but wonderful in small amounts. So when I got this post question of Vanilla, chocolate, or something else entirely? all I could think of was Pumpkin although out of season I do enjoy Rocky Road.
